What kind of photographer would you say you are?

My work is described as natural, intimate, and organic.  My goal is to capture genuine moments of you and your family that can be treasured for a lifetime.  The photos I take reflect what I believe to be the most important thing in life; the relationships you have with the people you love.  

As your photographer, I will be sure to provide you with a generous gallery of images that can be displayed in your home as pieces of art or in a custom album to be treasured for years to come.  Images from your session will often tell a story, capturing a treasured moment in your families history.  I do not try to make you look perfect, stiff, or unnatural.  Quite the opposite.  I am also not after that "one" shot with everyone looking at the camera and smiling but instead I look for connection and love.  We certainly may get some of those as well but without it being forced or unnatural.  

 

Senior and Yoga portraits tend to be more posed by nature of the session but I will always do my best to make you feel comfortable and at ease throughout your time with me.  We certainly have lot of fun together.

Where will my session be held?

Together we choose the perfect location for your session.  Most sessions are on location using natural outdoor light. 

Newborn sessions are held at your home but family, maternity and engagement can be held there as well.  

We can shoot in your home as long as your home has adequate natural light.  Many clients prefer their home because of the intimate and personal feel it provides.

I have many outdoor locations that I love to shoot at regularly but I am always open to new locations as well.  Just let me know.

How long will my session be?  

Based in the session it could be from 1-2 hours.  Newborn Session tend to take a little longer, roughly 2-3 hours.

I try to move through things quickly so kids don't loose patience but am sure to get a wide range of images for your gallery.

What will my session be like? 

Your session should be lots of fun.  I strongly encourage you to be present and in the moment for your session. Focus on each other, love, laugh, be silly and share in that moment.  I want my clients to be comfortable and of course be themselves.

When do newborn sessions occur?  I like to do newborn sessions within the first two weeks of life but sometimes families aren't ready yet so it's okay to wait just a little bit longer.  

​

Where will my newborn session be held?  Newborn sessions take place in your home.  I typically use the rooms that are well lit.  The living room, of course the nursery, master or guest bedroom and even sometimes the kitchen.

How far in advance are you booked?

For full sessions I am usually booked a few months in advance.  Sometimes though, I am able to add someone to the schedule last minute so don't be afraid to ask.  If you're looking for a newborn session it is best to contact me while you are pregnant, that way I can always leave room in the schedule.  For Maternity photos I usually recommend 7 1/2 to 8 months pregnancy because momma is usually feeling good still and can move around pretty well.

Will I get the digital photos from my session?

Yes, all photos in your gallery are digital.  I do not sell prints however I have a great site that I use for prints if you are interested in buying.   Many of my sessions come with an album so your pictures will be beautifully printed.

How can I order prints and products from you?

Prints are ordered directly through your digital gallery.  It couldn't be made any easier.  You chose your favorite photos then click to order.  They are delivered directly to your door and for a great price.

Can I bring other family members along for the photoshoots?

I'm sorry but no.  I do my very best to allow for an intimate feel at each session keeping the posing organized and timely.  You hire me to get that "organic" feel.  If we start adding others to the mix.  I.e., cousins or aunts and uncles to a family / newborn / maternity session things will definitely get thrown off and the flow of the session changed drastically.  If you would like an extended family session please feel free to inquire.  I just don't offer it for the basic sessions I have listed on my website.

Do you give all images in both black and white and color?

I do not.  That's my artistic approach.  I choose the edit based on what kind of emotion the images gives.  If you truly want your images in both styles I'll be happy to give them to you.  Just ask.

My house isn't big, fancy or perfect, can you still come to for my photos?

Yes of course!  You wouldn't believe what's just outside the frame sometimes.  As long as you have some good natural light I can make most any homes work.

How long after my photoshoot will my photos be ready?  

Generally I work pretty fast and get images edited and out to you within 2 weeks.  Sometimes faster.

Will travel fees apply to my area?

That depends on where you are located or where you prefer to do the photoshoot.  I try to be fair in regards to any travel fees but if I'm traveling to eastern Suffolk County or western Nassau County or beyond I do apply a fee to the package.   Let me know your exact location and I can figure out if there is any additional charge.
