School Photography | Long Island Fine Are School Portraits
Our goal is to provide a custom, boutique experience to all families attending the schools who have chosen JBella Photography to photograph their students.
Our service is personal and professional. Unlike large, corporate photography operations, we only take on a select number of Long Island schools so that we can provide superior customer service and artistic images. But that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on professionalism, quality, or time. We provide a more personal and what we believe to be better experience for both the schools and the families we work with.
Our aim is to capture the essence of the children in front of the camera. We will never force a smile. No awkward poses or faces, just the authentic child, on the day. The results are genuine and timeless portraits that are far from the traditional cheesy photos we have become accustomed to with bright flashes and unflattering, busy backgrounds. We provide a light and fun experience for your children and take pride in providing an environment where the kids can relax and be themselves, naturally.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
We are a completely online operation. Families are linked safe, online ordering galleries. Galleries are set up according to grade, classroom, homeroom, advisory, or whatever grouping which makes sense for the school.
HOW IS A FINE ART SCHOOL PORTRAIT DIFFERENT THAN STANDARD SCHOOL PHOTOS?
Our approach is a bit different and a lot better (if you ask us!)
In these sessions, we let kids be kids. There’s no pressure to perform or pose a certain way. We encourage them to relax and just be themselves, whether they’re feeling playful, shy, or anything in between. This relaxed atmosphere helps capture genuine expressions that reflect the individuality of each child, making every portrait special and meaningful.

Fine Art School Portraits are all about simplicity and authenticity. By using a minimalist black or white/cream background, we highlight your child’s true personality without the distraction of vibrant colors or artificial elements. This approach focuses on the natural expressions and unique character of each student, rather than cookie-cutter poses and smiles.
Prints are ordered online and delivered directly to the school within four weeks of picture day.
We provide all equipment and personnel needed for photo day.
We provide the school with all high resolution digital files to use for yearbooks, website, school advertising, school ID’s, or however the school wishes to use the images.
We handle any questions from parents and families about ordering and products.
We take staff and class photos depending on the school’s needs.
We are willing to work with schools to provide custom services that fit your unique needs.
HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
We have provided this service to schools as small as 30 kids and schools with as many 200 children.
WHAT TIME OF YEAR DO YOU CONDUCT THESE FINE ART SCHOOL PHOTO SHOOTS?
We work with each individual school to schedule shoots any time during the academic year.
DO YOU PROVIDE CLASS PHOTOS?
We do! If the school needs class photos we will take them either on photo do or arrange another time to come and take them.
ARE THESE IMAGES EXPENSIVE?
We have competitive rates and nothing is due up front, all profit is made from ordering. We offer a variety of a-la-carte products to fit everyone’s needs. (*please note, prices are subject to change).
